About this weekends facilitators:

Brigette Manaia
Brigette is a Financial Investment Adviser as well as a Trustee for Te Wahi Ora Charitable Trust.

Bev Holt
Bev is an experienced facilitator who will be helping the group explore the world of money, in the restful environment of Piha’s beach, bush and ocean.
Enjoy a weekend in the nurturing comfort of Te Wahi Ora’s hospitality.
Money was invented to make life easier.
Now, culturally it is used to dominate, manipulate and divide. Bev will help us dispel the myths around women and wealth and together we can explore a language that gives money the meaning and value we choose it to have!
What you will need to bring with you:
Come with an awareness of your financial position. Your money IN & your money OUT.
Bring a notebook or journal to write notes / observations and to reflect in. There is no obligation to share these private thoughts written here unless you wish too. It is more a tool to help you process and integrate the discussions and information of the weekend.
Talking about our finances can be hard. We aim to create a safe space for us all to share of experiences.
Cost:
Growing women’s financial competence and confidence is important. Brigette is kindly gifting her time and expertise to facilitate the ‘A Women’s Finances’ retreat weekend. Therefore there is no extra cost for this weekend on top of your accommodation fee.

After a restful start to the day we meet for morning tea.
- We explore the recommended steps towards personal financial sovereignty.
- Hear stories of good and ‘not so good’ uses of seeking money.
- Take this unique opportunity to become increasingly comfortable in conversations about money.
- Hear concepts like Emergency Funds, Term Deposits, Kiwi Saver (what’s great & what’s ho-hum)
Brigette will guide us through the helpfulness of all these and the possible weaknesses of them.
Saturday afternoon, 1pm:
Relaxed Lunch and free time to sleep, read, walk or have a ‘cold plunge’ in the Blue Pool!
A time to reflex and observe what things occur to us in the light of the new information we have shared.
Saturday 4pm. Pre-Dinner drinks and nibbles at 4pm followed by:

Sunday, 10am we awake to another relaxed start to the day.
Morning Tea and our final session:
- How to make the most of what we have
- What are the benefits of all the possibilities.
We return home with our personal rather than cultural understanding of money.
We return home with confidence to have important conversations about money within our family and friendship circles.
