Come and join in to ‘A Creative Sewing Weekend with Ruby
Ruby started sewing in high school but gave up… then during the Covid lockdown bought a machine and has not stopped since!
Up-Cycling, patchwork, making handy items from preloved material… you name it Ruby loves it all.
Come join Ruby for a weekend of breathing new life into something old, while sharing the sea views, great company and nurturing meals.
The weekend workshop will begin with a dinner together Friday 6pm, and will finish following Sundays lunch, approximately 2.30pm.
If you want to try up-cycling Ruby suggests a visit to an op-shop or rummaging at home to find something to sew. Or maybe you want to give yourself time to finish that project you started but has been sitting in your cupboard?
Just bring your materials, machine and ideas and allow the Piha views of beach, bush and ocean, plus the company of like minded women to get your creativity to flow.
Don’t have a sewing machine? Friend of Te Wahi Ora, Gillian, has given us a spare electric machine for anyone without one.
Even Bev has registered with her Treadle machine to become part of the 21st century!
